For patients with moderate to severe gum disease, Dr. Williams uses the Laser Assisted New Attachment Procedure (LANAP®) to remove bacteria from under the gum line. LANAP® is a remarkable laser therapy that kills bacteria on contact without disturbing healthy gum tissue the way traditional scalpel surgery often does.
If missing teeth are a concern, we can replace them with durable, high quality dental implants that look and feel like real teeth. Preferred over conventional dentures and bridges, dental implants are a permanent solution for one tooth or many missing teeth.
Gum recession usually develops slowly and for different reasons. Gum disease, which is caused by a bacterial overgrowth, is often the reason. The longer it remains untreated, the more likely it is for patients to experience sensitive teeth, loss of gum tissue and worse yet, missing teeth and bone loss.
